Anne Bülling becomes the new managing director of the district hospital

After Margarete Janson decided to leave Frankenberg District Hospital on 30 September 2025 in order to take on new professional challenges, the hospital's Supervisory Board recently decided on a succession plan: Anne Bülling from Warburg will succeed Margarete Janson as Managing Director of Frankenberg District Hospital for the duration of the merger process that has begun. She will be working for the district hospital from 1 August 2025 - on a transitional basis together with Margarete Janson until her departure.

Move from Korbach to Frankenberg
Anne Bülling is currently employed as an authorised signatory and Head of Human Resources at Korbach City Hospital. The qualified lawyer has already worked for Gesundheit Nordhessen Holding, St. Johannisstift Evangelisches Krankenhaus Paderborn gGmbH, Brüderkrankenhaus St. Josef Paderborn and the affiliated St. Marienhospital Marsberg. Prior to her employment at Hessenklinik Korbach, she was Managing Director of the Bad Arolsen hospital.

In-depth expertise and many years of management experience
"Thanks to her many years of work in the hospital sector, Anne Bülling has in-depth management experience in leading positions in the healthcare sector and will use her excellent expertise to the benefit of our hospital in future," says District Administrator Jürgen van der Horst, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the district hospital. "We are delighted to have found in her a knowledgeable and experienced successor who will build on the work of Margarete Janson."

Merger strengthens both sites
Anne Bülling is also looking forward to her new role: "In my new position, I will play my part in ensuring high-quality healthcare for Frankenberg and the region. As part of the merger, we will jointly strengthen both locations in Frankenberg and Korbach in order to create an optimal medical offering for all people in Waldeck-Frankenberg now and in the future in light of the new hospital reform."

Seamless transition in management
The swift decision by the Supervisory Board to appoint a successor is intended to ensure a seamless transition in management - including for all tasks relating to the process of merging the two clinics into one hospital at two locations. In the coming weeks, Margarete Janson and Anne Bülling will accompany this process together. From 1 October, Anne Bülling will then take over this completely for the district hospital.

"We know and appreciate Anne Bülling through her work for our city hospital and are very confident that she will continue to provide targeted and competent support for the merger of the two hospitals in her new role as Managing Director in Frankenberg," said the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Korbach City Hospital, Mayor Stefan Kieweg, emphasising that her move from Korbach to Frankenberg has been coordinated with the city hospital and the city of Korbach.

The merger working groups are currently in the active working phase of the transaction process. This means that a timetable is being drawn up, priorities set, milestones defined, tasks assigned and work packages put together. In particular, tax, financial, organisational and legal issues need to be clarified - as well as the development of a target image for the new joint corporate structures. Further information on the merger process can be found here.
