Information event on the profession of child day carer

The district of Waldeck-Frankenberg is once again offering the opportunity to take a qualification course to become a childminder this September. To this end, the district's specialist youth service is offering a free information event on the profession of childminder on Monday 12 May at 5.30 pm in Frankenberg, Bahnhofstraße 8. All interested parties are cordially invited.

The desire to reconcile family and career requires a network of qualified and reliable services. The question of good childcare options is of great importance. Child day care in Waldeck-Frankenberg has now become an indispensable part of child day care. In addition to childcare in daycare centres or all-day schools, the family care of small children in particular is increasingly becoming the task of recognised childminders. In September 2025, a new qualification course will begin, which is offered in cooperation with the adult education centre (VHS). There are still places available. Interested parties who enjoy working with children, would like to work pedagogically and are looking for a new challenge are cordially invited to apply for the day carer qualification.

Anyone who needs more information before applying, or simply wants to find out more about the profession of childminder, can attend the free information event on 12 May. At the event, Monika Padberg-Koert from the district's youth department will provide comprehensive information about the general conditions of childminding. In addition, Tina Scholl-Köhler, an experienced childminder of many years' standing, will talk about her day-to-day work.
