Financial support for language courses

Financial support

For participants receiving benefits, the district and the Waldeck-Frankenberg District Adult Education Centre pay the fees for German courses. People with a migration background can thus receive even more targeted support in language training - and thus increase their chances of participating in social life.

The Kreisvolkshochschule pays 60 per cent of the costs of the German courses - provided the participants receive state benefits. Under the same conditions, the district of Waldeck-Frankenberg pays the remaining 40 per cent of the course costs and a bus ticket equivalent to a Diakonie ticket if the distance to the course location is more than three kilometres, if regular attendance at the course can be proven.
