Contemporary witness GDR

The encounter with a genuine "Ossi" allows a look through the window of history into the life and everyday life of people in the former GDR. Accounts, experiences and anecdotes provide both cheerful and depressing first-hand insights into the peaceful revolution of 1989, the living conditions and leisure activities of young people, the political system and much more.

The free programme is aimed in particular at school classes and groups of children and young people. The main topics, forms of work, location and duration can be customised.

The contemporary witness is:
Andreas Greif, born in 1968, was born and grew up in Halle (Saale). He has lived in Germany since 1990 and is now a teacher and responsible for extracurricular child, youth and family education in the district of Waldeck-Frankenberg.
