Obtain approval from the building supervisory authority

Building projects in public ownership require the approval of the building supervisory authority instead of the building permit if it is entrusted to a federal or state building department under the direction of the design work and the building department is staffed.

In certain constellations, the consent requirement may be waived.

Projects that serve national defence must be brought to the attention of the upper building supervisory authority in an appropriate manner before the start of construction; an inspection by the upper building supervisory authority does not take place.
