Investment support for day care facilities for children

  • Performance specification

The district of Waldeck-Frankenberg strives for a quantitatively adequate and high-quality supply of childcare places in the district. To this end, it supports the providers of childcare facilities professionally and financially, especially in applying for and receiving the following subsidies:

    Investment funding from district funds

According to the guideline for the promotion of child day care facilities in the district of Waldeck - Frankenberg, construction measures of child day care facilities are promoted with up to 20% of the eligible construction costs from the district's own funds.

Investment state funding according to § 32 d HKJGB

With the "small building subsidy" according to § 32 d of the Hessian Child and Youth Welfare Code (HKJGB), the state of Hesse subsidises investments for building measures and equipment projects with total costs between 10,000 and 50,000 euros, which serve to create and ensure a demand-oriented offer of childcare places for children until they start school.

  • Process flow

If you are planning building measures in day-care centres, the responsible specialist for day-care centre counselling should be involved in the planning at an early stage.

    Circle funds

Funding from district funds is a voluntary service provided by the district. There is no legal entitlement to it. Once the application has been received in full, the requested funds will be taken into account in the next budget discussion. However, a definite commitment of the district funds can only be made once the corresponding budget has been passed by the district council, approved by the supervisory authority and the district committee agrees to the disbursement of the funds.

    Investment state support

Independent youth welfare organisations and other suitable organisations submit the application specified by the local public youth welfare organisation to the city/municipality for their projects. The municipality forwards the applications, supplemented by any projects of its own, to the competent local public youth welfare body.

The local public youth welfare organisation combines the above-mentioned applications, supplemented by the application of its own projects, to form an overall application that is prioritised and reviewed. It forwards this to the Regional Council Kassel for examination and approval.

As a rule, the measures applied for may not be started before the decision is issued and must be completed in the year of the grant.
