Determination of a disability

In order to obtain the degree of disability and thus the determination of a severe disability, people with disabilities must submit a written application to the pension office. The Hessian Offices for Supply and Social Affairs offer you the possibility to submit your initial or amendment application for the determination of a degree of disability according to the Severe Disability Act online. In the district of Waldeck-Frankenberg, the responsible office for determining the degree of disability according to the law on severe disabilities is the Hessian Office for Supply and Social Affairs Kassel .

Applying for a disability card

People with a degree of disability of 50 or more can take advantage of benefits. To do so, you must apply for a severely disabled person's ID card from the responsible Office for Care and Social Affairs. The Hessian Offices for Care and Social Affairs also offer you the option of applying online for a severely disabled person's ID card. The Hessian Office for Care and Social Affairs in Kassel is also responsible for this. Anyone who submits a passport photo when applying for the degree of disability will automatically be issued with a severely disabled person's pass if the degree of disability is 50 or more.
