District Administrator calls for discipline and vaccination

The summer holiday continues to progress and the relaxations invite us to forget about it. But the pandemic is not over yet. In order not to experience further restrictions again, District Administrator Dr Kubat reminds everyone to continue to observe the hygiene and distance regulations for the benefit of each individual and to take advantage of the vaccination services offered by the district.

The incidence nationwide continues to rise daily, i.e. the number of new infections within the last seven days per 100,000 inhabitants. This trend can also be seen very clearly in our district. On 13 August, according to the Robert Koch Institute, the incidence in the Waldeck-Frankeberg district was 14.1. One week later, it was 33.9. "We have to be careful not to let the current relaxations make us forget all the rules," warned District Administrator Dr. Kubat. "We can only continue to contain Corona if every individual continues to remember the hygiene and distance regulations and takes advantage of the offers of vaccination."

Possibly the vaccination progress makes many people believe that they no longer need to be considerate and can ignore the regulations. "We are not there yet. There is still a large group of people who have not received vaccination," the district administrator explained. In order to give all residents of the district the opportunity to be vaccinated, the district is offering vaccinations without an appointment on Saturday 21 August at the administrative office in Frankenberg.

Anyone who has not yet been vaccinated can come by between 9 am and 2 pm. Due to the new recommendation of the Stiko, this now also includes children and adolescents from the age of 12. In parallel, vaccinations without an appointment continue to take place daily between 8.30 a.m. and 6 p.m. at the vaccination centre on the Korbacher Hauer and children can now also receive a vaccination here. If possible, children should bring their health insurance card and yellow vaccination card with them to the vaccination centre so that the vaccination can be entered there. Further information is also available via the vaccination centre's hotline at 05631 573 08 89 and online at www.landkreis-waldeck-frankenberg.de/impfenohnetermin.
