Daniel Gretz is the new WIR coordinator at the Landkreis

The state's WIR project aims to implement pioneering approaches to integration. Daniel Gretz is the new coordinator at the district office.

In order to further develop structures in all public areas of life and to open up opportunities for participation to all people, the Waldeck-Frankenberg district has been part of the Hessian state programme "Realising Pathbreaking Approaches to Integration", or WIR for short, since 2014. The project in the district is now being supervised by Daniel Gretz as the new WIR coordinator.

The main areas of focus include the implementation of intercultural opening at the administrative level, coordination of the Intercultural Week in the Waldeck-Frankenberg district, cooperation with sports and educational associations and the development of a culture of recognition and welcome in our region.

As part of the specialist unit for migration and integration of the Waldeck-Frankenberg district, the main topics will be implemented together with the integration officer in the context of the overall strategy of the district administration.
