No camps: District offers alternative programme

The sports and youth work department of the Waldeck-Frankenberg district had again put together an attractive and varied leisure programme for children and young people this year. In summer, there were to be holiday camps in Otterndorf on the North Sea, in Dahme on the Baltic Sea or in Zell am See in Austria for different age groups. Unfortunately, the Corona pandemic threw a spanner in the works: the camps will not take place. For the summer holidays, in the week 26-30 July 2021, the youth work of the district has now put together a Corona-compliant alternative programme for 8-17 year-olds.

The programme is run under the current Corona rules at the Bad Arolsen, Frankenberg and Korbach locations. The participants are divided into small groups according to their age, for a programme that is suitable for the target group and focuses on games, fun, exercise and community. Children and young people who were registered for the district's holiday camps can register for the alternative programme from 7 June up to and including 20 June 2021. From 21 June 2021, registration will be open to all interested parties if there are still places available. There will be a short information about this in the media.

The sports and youth work department hopes for a lively participation in the alternative programme during the summer holidays for children and young people. For more information, please call 05631 954-493 or email ines.normann@lkwafkb.de.
