Self-help contact point offers telephone consultation hours in June

In times of the Corona pandemic, personal exchange is severely limited. In order to make this possible nevertheless, the self-help contact point of the district has started a telephone campaign where interested people can exchange information with self-help experts. Because during this difficult time, contact with a self-help group can offer relief.

Since February 2021, four such dates for telephone consultations have already taken place - in June, the campaign will now be continued on two more days. The topic is "Corona consequences and possibilities of group-based self-help". The two employees of the self-help contact point, Heike Eschler and Kristin Schmidt-Momberg, are available as discussion partners.

The two consultation hours on 1 June in the morning and on 8 June in the afternoon are aimed at people who had Covid-19 a long time ago and are still suffering from physical impairments of their infection (Post-Covid, Long-Covid), who would like to find out about the possibilities of group-based self-help or are interested in participating in a group. Relatives of post-Covid or Long-Covid patients as well as relatives of those who have died of or with Covid 19 disease are also to be reached through the telephone consultation hours.

In addition, the consultation hours serve as a support for all those citizens who suffer from economic, social and psychological consequences of the Corona pandemic, for parents of children and young people who feel overwhelmed, but also for people who suffer from loneliness due to the pandemic or who generally have problems with the new reality of life such as home office or homeschooling. The foundation of a "Corona consequences self-help group" is to be supported with the two dates.

On Tuesday, 1 June 2021, Ms Eschler will be available for consultation at the telephone number 05631 954-888 and Ms Schmidt-Momberg at the telephone number 05631 954-828 from 10:00 to 12:00. The two employees can be reached at the same telephone numbers on Tuesday, 8 June 2021, from 17:00 to 19:00.
