Online Seminar: Welcome Culture in Self-Help

Many self-help groups are probably familiar with this situation: There is a lack of new members, new interested people are hard to find. Some members of the group come irregularly, are there once, then not again, usually after they have received information or poured out their hearts. This fluctuation is stressful for everyone in the group and disturbs the trusting group work. The self-help contact point of the Waldeck-Frankenberg district is now offering an online training course on this topic. On 14 December 2021 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m., Ute Sauerzapf will give a lecture on the welcoming culture in the self-help group, how it is possible to welcome new members well so that they stay.

The seminar focuses on the sensitive phase of every self-help group: the beginning and the start. The participants of the training day will deal with how to best welcome interested people to a self-help group, how to pick them up and how to let them arrive. Together they will develop concepts for a welcoming culture in self-help with the aim of reaching and retaining new group members.

Binding registration for the training is possible at the Self-Help Contact Point until 9 December 2021, by e-mail at shk@lkwafkb.de, by telephone at 05631 954-888 or by fax at 05631 954-490. Should a cancellation be unavoidable, it is requested in good time directly from the Self-Help Contact Point, by telephone or by e-mail using the contact details above.
