Become a daycare parent: County information event on December 20
Since the need for daycare mothers and fathers is growing, the Waldeck-Frankenberg district is again looking for interested parties who would like to receive further training as child daycare providers. For this purpose, an information event will take place on Tuesday, December 20 at 6 p.m. in the Hotel Goldflair in Korbach. Interested parties are cordially invited.
For people who enjoy working with children, can offer them a loving, appreciative and familiar atmosphere and take responsibility as well as have an interest in pedagogical topics, the work as a child day care worker is just right. Together with the Kreisvolkshochschule, the district offers qualification as a child day care worker.
The basic qualification is divided into two parts - in the first part, the focus is on theory; in the second part, the knowledge learned in theory is deepened in practice. The qualification is free of charge. The next course starts in February 2023 and lasts about half a year. The course is run by the Waldeck-Frankenberg District Adult Education Center. It comprises 300 teaching units, divided into a preparatory phase with 160 teaching units and an accompanying phase with 140 teaching units. In the first phase, all the skills necessary for working as a day care worker are taught. The second phase expands and deepens the existing competencies.
For further information on the qualification as a child day care worker, please contact the Child Day Care Supervisor, Ms. Monika Padberg-Koert, Tel. 06451-743-781, or email monika.padberg-koert@lkwafkb.de.
