Identify & use strengths: Hessencampus offers ProfilPASS counselling

The Hessencampus Waldeck-Frankenberg has the task of supporting and advising people in vocational orientation processes. Part of the offer is the ProfilPASS.

Hessencampus is a regional network of educational institutions that has set itself the task of promoting lifelong learning in the district and supporting and advising people in vocational (re)orientation processes. Part of the counselling service with the motto "Recognise strengths - use strengths" is the ProfilPASS.

The ProfilPASS was developed and tested as part of a project of the Bund-Länder Commission for Educational Planning and Research Promotion (BLK) to promote lifelong learning. This offer of the HESSENCAMPUS Waldeck-Frankenberg is also free of charge and can be used by every person in the district of Waldeck-Frankenberg.

Sometimes you are not or no longer aware of your (professional) competences. Be it because one is only at the beginning of one's professional career, no longer feels comfortable in a private or professional context or simply because one is curious about new things but does not know exactly what these new things might look like. Through the ProfilPASS, competences and skills can be systematically identified and made visible.

This is not only about one's professional career, but also about private competences that one has acquired in one's role in family, leisure or voluntary work. The ProfilPASS system brings structure to the reflection on oneself and the shaping of one's professional future. This makes it easier to plan and steer the future.

In a total of three individual coaching sessions, participants learn how to take a look at their own lives and the competences they have acquired with them. In which life situations, in which different places and in which contexts have they been active so far, and what of this seems important to them today? The focus is on activities from different fields of activity, for example hobby, household, school or working life, from which skills and competences can be derived.

The most important results for those seeking advice are documented and balanced, and through the subsequent creation of a personal competence profile, current wishes and plans can be linked, concretised and checked for individual feasibility. This makes it easier to plan the next steps and put them into practice.
