Mandatory vaccination: facilities must report information

Since 16 March, mandatory vaccination has been in force in medical and nursing facilities. This means that employees working there are obliged to be vaccinated against the coronavirus. The facility managers in Waldeck-Frankenberg must report to the district by the end of March at the latest whether all employees have been immunised. An online platform has been set up for this purpose.

The institution-related vaccination obligation was decided by the federal government - and applies to all persons who, for example, work in clinics, practices, preventive care and rehabilitation facilities, rescue services, old people's and nursing homes and many other medical institutions, regardless of the type of activity. Exceptions are possible, for example if people are not allowed to be vaccinated for medical reasons. All others must be able to prove to their employer that they are considered fully vaccinated against the coronavirus.

Digital notification to the district
The management of the facilities are therefore obliged to request this information from their staff - and to report it accordingly to the district's health service. For this purpose, a data protection-compliant digital registration process has been set up. This process must be completed by the facility managers even if all employees have been vaccinated. The data can only be transferred in this way - not by e-mail, post or fax.
