Climate change and mobility: Invitation to the StreitBar on 30 March

As part of the "StreitBar" format, the Waldeck-Frankenberg Network for Tolerance, in cooperation with the Department for Economic, Labour and Social Affairs of the Protestant Church, invites you to the "Streitbar" event on the topic of "Climate Change and Mobility" on 30 March at the Herzhausen National Park Centre.

Climate change - what are we prepared to pay? Under this title, the focus is on the topic of mobility. In view of the high diesel and oil prices caused by the Ukraine war, the question arises quite acutely what price one is willing to pay. Many are dependent on the car, or are there alternatives? What does mobility look like in rural areas and what can be changed? Climate change is a fact and brings massive changes that concern society now and not in a few years or decades. Individual transport, public transport, car sharing, reasons for mobility and much more are up for discussion.

Elke Jesinghausen, owner of the car dealership Jesinghausen and chairwoman of the CDU Mittelstandsvereinigung, Michael Schrameck, managing partner of Regio.Mobil, Nico Wirth from the climate protection department of the Waldeck-Frankenberg district and Holger Theiß from the Kurhessenbahn will discuss the topic. The event will be moderated by Peter Grohme, expert advisor for economic, labour and social affairs at the EKD, and Ursula Müller from the Waldeck-Frankenberg Network for Tolerance.

The event will take place on Wednesday, 30 March at 6.30 pm under the currently valid Corona Rules (3G) at the Herzhausen National Park Centre. It is free of charge, snacks and non-alcoholic drinks will be served. Registration is requested under e-mail: ursula.mueller@lkwafkb.de.
