Strong Parents - Strong Children" course starts on 13 June: Places still available

The district of Waldeck-Frankenberg participates in the action programme "Catching up after Corona" with its specialist youth service. It creates opportunities throughout Germany for children, young people and their families to meet, discover new things together and experience their world after the pandemic. One offer within the framework of the action programme is the parents' course "Strong Parents - Strong Children" of the Child Protection Association .

Growing into the role of parent requires curiosity, empathy and time. In the course of the German Child Protection Association, parents receive suggestions and help to better understand their child's needs and to strengthen communication in their family, to practice negotiating in conflict situations, to find ways to balance or to reduce stress. In cooperation with the Youth Service of the Waldeck-Frankenberg district, the first course in this series, which builds on each other, will take place on 13 June 2022. There are still a few places available.

In the course, parents learn how to clarify difficult situations well, where trouble traps are waiting and where there are possibilities for positive changes within the family. The course is led by certified educator Olivia Maschke. An exchange between the participants alternates with theoretical input and practical units.

The course will be held on five dates, 13, 20 and 27 June as well as 6 and 13 July, each from 3 - 5 p.m. at a cost of 10 euros at the "Laake" day-care centre, Pyritzer Str. 39, in Korbach. Registrations are accepted until 7 June: Olivia Maschke, Tel. 05623 935143 or 0160 90888027 as well as the Youth Service of the district, Tel. 06451 743-642 or e-mail bettina.goetz@lkwafkb.de.
