Stefan Schaller finally relieved of function

Already on Monday, the supervisory boards of Energie Waldeck-Frankenberg and Verbands-Energie-Werk Gesellschaft für Erneuerbare Energien as well as the EWF association board had released EWF Managing Director Stefan Schaller from his function. Today, the supervisory and executive boards decided on the final dismissal. This means that his work for EWF Waldeck-Frankenberg has now formally come to an end.

Previously, the former managing director of the regional energy supplier had gone to Ukraine to accompany the Russian sham referendums, which were contrary to international law, as an election observer. His behaviour is not acceptable to the company's shareholders. Politically, the bodies of the district, which is the majority shareholder of the EWF, had already distanced themselves from the actions of the former managing director last weekend. On Monday, the supervisory and executive boards decided in a special meeting to release Schaller, whose work for the energy company has now formally ended with his dismissal. The termination of employment is by mutual agreement.

At the same time, ongoing operations in the company were secured - and an arrangement was also already made for the succession in the management during the meeting: Until a new management is established, the two long-time authorised signatories Inken Barth and Stefan Kieweg will temporarily take over the management of the energy supplier jointly. In the long term, a new management team will be appointed soon.
