Support persons wanted to accompany the youth camps
The district Waldeck-Frankenberg offers this year again a training as a supervisor in compliance with the current Corona rules, registration is possible until January 19 . This pedagogical basic training qualifies interested persons for the independent guidance, company and support of camps with children and young people. After successful completion of the training, the graduates will be scheduled for youth camps in the district.
Those interested are given the opportunity here to check in a practical way whether an assignment as a caregiver suits them. "Pupils, trainees, students, but also professionals are represented among our supervisors. Their commitment makes the camps exciting and eventful. We are pleased that every year new potential supervisors show interest in the voluntary work," says Ines Normann from the youth promotion of the Waldeck-Frankenberg district.
"In addition to teaching important content and preparing for deployment as a caregiver, the training is like a class reunion. You can exchange ideas with caregivers who have also become friends in the meantime, and you have the opportunity to meet new people," reports one caregiver.
For their work, the supervisors receive an expense allowance, reimbursement of travel expenses, and free board and lodging during their free time. The activity can be credited as an internship. A leave of absence for voluntary work in youth work is possible. The training for supervisors will take place from February 3 - 5, 2023 and from May 12 - 14, 2023. Another date will be determined individually by the recreation teams.
Registrations are accepted by the Waldeck-Frankenberg district, Youth Development, at e-mail ines.normann@lkwafkb.de or by phone 05631 954-493. There you will also find further information on the training and activities of caregivers.
