Civic Engagement Project Forge: Winner has been chosen

So far, two competitions of the "Projektschmiede Bürgerengagement" have given away an association image video and a professional photo shoot for social media work. In 2023, the first prize was support for the creation of an association app with a grant of 500 euros for the running costs. The competition, organised by the Coordination Centre for Civic Engagement in the Waldeck-Frankenberg district, which is affiliated with the Village and Regional Development Department, once again met with a pleasing response. The participating associations made good suggestions on how they would use their association app.

The winner of the 2023 competition has now been determined - the volunteer fire brigade of the core town of Gemünden (Wohra) e. V. can be happy about the new opportunity for communication. In their application, the fire brigade and disaster control pointed out that it is a dream for many young children to become a fireman or firewoman one day. The association lives this dream; it wants to use the app to promote this great hobby or honorary office and to inform about its work.

A ceremony to present the award by District Administrator Jürgen van der Horst will take place as soon as the association app is completed. How the app can be used and how it is structured will be shown then.
