Due to relocation: Social Welfare Office will have limited availability from 8 May onwards

After the health department moved into the new administrative building of the Waldeck-Frankenberg district on Südring in the second half of April, the social affairs department will move from the district hall to the neighbouring new building on 8 May. The service will therefore only be accessible to a limited extent in May.

The social welfare office is the second department of the district to move into the new building. The Youth Department will follow later. The move of the 70 employees of the Social Affairs Department will start at the beginning of next week and take about four weeks. For the citizens, this will involve minor restrictions: During the move, no meetings can be held with the staff of the department. The dismantling of the IT hardware in the old building and the installation of the same in the new one will also lead to limited accessibility by telephone and e-mail for a short time.

Subject areas of the specialist service move week by week
The individual subject areas of the specialist service take place gradually: The subject area of assistance for long-term care, the housing allowance authority and the specialist service management will move in the 19th calendar week, the subject area of assistance for subsistence as well as education and participation and the specialist office for migration and integration in the 20th calendar week and the subject areas of basic security as well as asylum and sickness assistance including asylum support in calendar week 22. For questions from the area of integration assistance, which is organisationally managed by the specialist service for youth, there may be restrictions on accessibility within the framework of the move between 12 and 19 May.

During the entire relocation period, the staff of the individual departments can be reached only to a limited extent - both by telephone and by e-mail. In case of doubt, citizens are asked to send an e-mail to the contact person, who will answer as soon as possible, as soon as the technology in the new offices has been reconstructed and set up.

As is the case with the health service, the district will implement the move as quickly as possible so that all services are available again as soon as possible. According to the plan, this should be the case by the beginning of June. All citizens are asked for their understanding for the restrictions caused by the move.
