Hearing impairment in old age: self-help group meets on 25 April
Hearing loss or a hearing impairment in old age can be very stressful for those affected. For this reason, there is now a self-help group on this topic in Korbach, which the district's self-help contact centre has helped to set up. The group will meet for the first time in Korbach on 25 April. Anyone interested is cordially invited to attend.
The group offers participants with hearing loss or hearing impairment the opportunity to discuss hearing difficulties in everyday life with other affected people and receive other helpful information. People with hearing aids or who have a cochlear implant are also very welcome. The first meeting is intended to be a non-binding opportunity to get to know each other and exchange information. The initiative for the foundation came from a person affected.
The meeting will take place on 25 April at 4 pm in the premises of Treffpunkt e.V. at Flechtdorfer Straße 11 in Korbach. The meeting is organised and moderated by the district's self-help contact point, which is looking forward to welcoming many participants.
