Youth development

The district of Waldeck-Frankenberg wants to promote children's and youth work where it takes place: for example, in youth groups, associations, youth clubs, youth initiatives, towns, communities or churches. The district supports this through:

• Consulting
• Cooperation
• Further education

Financial support
Within the framework of the guidelines for the support of youth work in the district of Waldeck-Frankenberg, financial support can be granted for the following topics:

• Seminars and projects with youth-specific topics
• Education and training of youth leaders
• Holiday games
• Holiday camps
• Study trips and international encounters
• Material for youth work
• New construction and conversion of rooms for youth work

Funding is provided for events per participant and day, and for material and rooms for youth work through a flat-rate share of the costs. School or club-specific events are not supported.

Counselling
In addition to financial support, the above-mentioned target groups can take advantage of counselling on conception and financing as well as on the establishment of new or the further development of existing youth work by the experts of the Youth Education Service and the Youth Development Service.

Cooperation
In addition, seminars or projects can be carried out in cooperation between local youth work and the Jugendbildungswerk.

Further education
The Youth Education Centre and the Youth Development Office organise annual further education courses on current and important topics relevant to young people and on professional development for professionals and volunteers in children's and youth work.
