Vaccination backlog: registration for prioritisation group 3 possible

Eligible persons in prioritisation group 3 can also register for a vaccination against the coronavirus on the vaccination follow-up platform of the Waldeck-Frankenberg district at www.landkreis-waldeck-frankenberg.de/impfnachruecker from May. The system will randomly administer remaining vaccine doses that are left over on any given day at the Korbach vaccination centre. The main registration channel for vaccination is and remains the appointment portal of the state of Hesse.

Last week, the state had made it possible for people in prioritisation group 3 to register on its Hesse-wide appointment portal. This will also be possible on the successor platform of the Waldeck-Frankenberg district as of 1 May. Previously, this was not yet the case, as there were still so many eligible people in the district from prioritisation groups 1 and 2, who are legally entitled to a higher vaccination. In the meantime, it has not yet been possible to make a vaccination offer to all of them, but to a large part of them.

Many beneficiaries in prioritisation group 3

"Therefore, we will now also open up registration for vaccination recruits in prioritisation group 3," explains the head of the vaccination centre, district fire inspector Gerhard Biederbick. At the same time, however, he qualifies: "The third prioritisation group includes a broad amount of eligible persons. The chance of getting a back-up appointment is therefore correspondingly lower." Nonetheless, eligible persons - for example, persons over 60 years of age, people with medical conditions or food retail staff - can now register for a possible late appointment.

Registration procedure improved

To this end, the technical registration procedure has been further improved, made clearer and adapted to the needs of the users: Anyone who clicks on the button "Register now as a latecomer!" online at www.landkreis-waldeck-frankenberg.de/impfnachruecker will be redirected to a new registration interface. After agreeing to the privacy policy, users can download a list of frequently asked questions about the vaccination follow-up platform. You can then enter your data as usual.

At the end of the registration, you should download your registration confirmation as a file, as the data - not as before - will be sent again later by e-mail. The file contains an overview of the data entered. If you forget to save your data, it is not a tragedy - the registration is still valid. In addition, a confirmation e-mail will be sent. What is new is that you no longer have to click on a link in this e-mail for the registration to be valid. As soon as the "registration completed" page appears on the screen, the vaccination follow-up platform has registered the registration - and you are in the lottery pot for the follow-up appointments.

No guarantee

However, there is no guarantee that those who register via this will definitely be contacted and receive an offer. Registered persons will only be offered a spontaneous appointment if there are vaccine doses left - for example, if someone did not show up for the appointment or also spontaneously cancelled appointments because a vaccination was given via another route - for example at the GP.

Notifications via SMS to mobile phone

If there are vaccine doses left on a day, the vaccination must also take place very promptly. So if you register online in advance in the list of persons who can be moved up, you have to be reachable quickly on your mobile phone in order to confirm the possible vaccination date. You also have to be able to come to the vaccination centre in Korbach within a short time. Therefore, the notifications are only sent by SMS to the mobile phone.

Anyone who receives such a notification with a possible vaccination appointment on their mobile phone must reply to this SMS as quickly as possible with "YES" (in capital letters and without punctuation). The appointment is only valid if the person who wants to be vaccinated has received a second SMS as confirmation of the appointment. More interested persons will be notified via the digital back-up platform than there are remaining doses. The first person to accept the short-term offer of vaccination will also receive final confirmation of the appointment. This is to ensure that any remaining doses are vaccinated in time. It is also important to note that you can only register on the late vaccination platform if you have not yet received your first vaccination.

Deregister after vaccination

Depending on whether one has received a vaccination via the appointment allocation portal of the state of Hesse or via the vaccination follow-up platform of the district of Waldeck-Frankenberg - in both cases it applies that vaccinated persons should deregister from the respective other registration option.

If you have received a vaccination via the vaccination follow-up platform of the Waldeck-Frankenberg district and at the same time are registered for a vaccination with the state of Hesse, you must deregister for your vaccination again with the state of Hesse - either online at www.impfterminservice.de or www.impfterminservice.hessen.de or by calling 116 117 or Tel. 0611 - 505 92 888 - so that the appointment can be given to someone else quickly.

If one has received a vaccination via the appointment allocation portal of the state of Hesse, one should, if one receives a vaccination offer via SMS via the vaccination follow-up platform, please also send the word DELETE (in capital letters and without punctuation marks) to this notification via SMS. Vaccinated people are cordially requested to do this - even if they - if they do not unsubscribe - do not block appointments for others.
