Self-help contact point offers telephone consultation on 30 March

In times of the Corona pandemic, personal exchange is severely limited. In order to make this possible nevertheless, the self-help contact point of the district has started a telephone campaign where interested people can exchange information with self-help experts on a wide range of topics. In this difficult and for many stressful time, contact with a self-help group can offer relief. The format was successfully tested in a first telephone consultation on 23 February 2021, followed by two more offers on 26 February and 23 March. The organisational team of the self-help contact point will now continue the consultation hours on 30 March.

Since groups cannot meet at the moment, telephone or digital contact is an important support, emphasise Heike Eschler and Kristin Schmidt-Momberg from the self-help contact point of the district. This particular pandemic period is particularly stressful, and the topic of group-based self-help and contact with like-minded people is becoming more and more important.

On Tuesday, 30 March 2021, the following self-help groups from Waldeck-Frankenberg will therefore be available for telephone counselling from 10 am to 12 pm:

  • Angela Becker, Freundeskreis Waldeck e.V., telephone number 05631 9879306,

The self-help contact point is networked with experts from the health system and has set itself the goal of promoting and anchoring the idea of self-help in the region in order to contribute to a self-help-friendly climate in the district.
