Vaccination without an appointment on 23 and 30 October at the Health Department

Since the closure of the vaccination centre in Korbach, the vaccinations against the coronavirus have been carried out by the general practitioners in Waldeck-Frankenberg. To support the vaccination campaigns, the district is additionally offering first and second vaccinations at the Korbach health office (Am Kniep 50) on the next two Saturdays - i.e. 23 and 30 October. Pre-registration is not necessary.

Those willing to be vaccinated can take advantage of the district's offer to be immunised against the coronavirus on both days between 9 am and 1 pm. First and second vaccinations are possible, but third vaccinations are not. Prior registration is not necessary. Anyone can drop in spontaneously. You need to bring an identity document and your vaccination certificate. People who have already been vaccinated for the first time and would like to receive their second vaccination at the health office should bring the documents on the first vaccination with them. As there is only limited parking space available at Am Kniep, those wishing to be vaccinated are asked to park in the nearby Hauer car park if necessary.

According to statistics from the state of Hesse, 68.4 percent of people in the Waldeck-Frankenberg district have been vaccinated for the first time and 67.4 percent have been fully vaccinated. "The first point of contact for vaccinations continues to be the general practitioners' practices in Waldeck-Frankenberg," says First District Commissioner and Head of Health Karl-Friedrich Frese. "However, we would like to continue to provide partial support where GP capacities are limited in order to further increase the good vaccination rate in Waldeck-Frankenberg."

If demand for vaccinations continues beyond what is offered by the GPs, there will be further additional appointments from the district if necessary.
