Vaccination without appointment on October 23 and 30 at the health office

Since the closure of the vaccination center in Korbach, the vaccinations against the coronavirus run through the established family practices in Waldeck-Frankenberg. To support the vaccination campaigns, the district is additionally offering first and second vaccinations at the Korbach health office (Am Kniep 50) on the next two Saturdays - i.e. October 23 and 30. Pre-registration is not necessary.

Those willing to be vaccinated can take advantage of the county's offer to be immunized against the coronavirus between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on both days. First and second vaccinations are possible, but third vaccinations are not. Prior registration is not required. Anyone can drop in spontaneously. You must bring an identification document and your vaccination certificate. People who have already had their first vaccination and would like to receive their second vaccination at the health office should bring the documents about the first vaccination. Since there is limited parking available at Am Kniep, those wishing to be vaccinated are asked to park in the nearby Hauer parking lot if necessary.

According to statistics from the state of Hesse, 68.4 percent of people in the Waldeck-Frankenberg district have been vaccinated for the first time and 67.4 percent are fully vaccinated, as of today. "The first point of contact for vaccinations continues to be the family doctor's offices in Waldeck-Frankenberg," says First District Commissioner and Head of Health Karl-Friedrich Frese. "However, we would like to continue to provide partial support where the capacity of family doctors is limited in order to further increase the good vaccination rate in Waldeck-Frankenberg."

If demand for immunizations continues beyond what is offered by primary care physicians, additional appointments will be made by the county as appropriate.
