Civic Engagement Project Forge: Winners have been selected

Associations could apply for the "Projektschmiede Bürgerengagement" competition with their activities - in the first edition of the competition last year, an association image video was won, and in this year's second edition, a professional photo shoot for the social media work of the associations was given away. Now the winners have been announced. The competition was organised by the Coordination Centre for Civic Engagement of the Waldeck-Frankenberg District, which is affiliated with the Village and Regional Development Department. The participating associations reported on many exciting activities worthy of imitation, two of which ultimately had something very special and were chosen as winners.

The Laisa festival community and the Ober-Werbe volunteer fire brigade can be pleased about the professional photo shoot for their social media work. In Laisa, the conversion of the milk house into a village meeting place won the award, while the Ober-Werbe fire brigade received the prize for its international youth meetings under the motto "Europe connects". The photo shoot for the two winners will take place on 9 September, and the photos will be presented at a ceremony on 13 October by District Administrator Jürgen van der Horst. The results of the "photo safari" will then be posted on the social media channels of the two associations.

Background
The initiator of the competition is the Coordination Centre for Civic Engagement Waldeck-Frankenberg, which is a project of the village and regional development department of the district administration. Under the title "Well coordinated!", support structures for volunteers in the district are created with the help of funding from the state of Hesse. The centre is one of seven centres in Hesse that pursue the goal of strengthening voluntary engagement.
