Facility-based compulsory vaccination: Deadline for reporting expires on 31 March

Since 16 March, it has been compulsory for the staff of medical, nursing and rehabilitation facilities to be vaccinated against the coronavirus. The management of the facilities concerned in Waldeck-Frankenberg must therefore provide the district with feedback on whether the employees have actually been immunised. The district has set up an online platform for this purpose. First District Councillor and Head of Health Karl Frese reminds us that the deadline for the reports is 31 March.

"I therefore recommend that the management of these institutions inquire about the status of their employees and forward the necessary information," says Frese. A registration form that complies with data protection regulations has been posted on the district's website. This form must be filled out even if all employees have been vaccinated. Moreover, the notification via this portal is the only possible way; a notification by letter, email or fax is not possible.

After the deadline, the health department will evaluate and prioritise the reports received and, if necessary, take further appropriate steps, e.g. advising the respective institutions on the further procedure. "There will be no immediate occupational ban for unvaccinated staff," the First District Commissioner clarified. "But we have to decide step by step which consequences have to be drawn.

For questions about the registration procedure, the district has also compiled a wealth of information on the website already mentioned. Among other things, one can check there which institutions are affected by the obligation to register and for which ones an exemption may apply. According to the First District Commissioner, anyone who is obliged to register should make sure that the deadline is met. This has absolute priority.
