Good response to the online health day for women of the district

This year, the Women's Office of the Waldeck-Frankenberg district, together with the Korbach Employment Agency, the Job Centre and the District Adult Education Centre, once again started a health day for women - due to the pandemic, this took place online from the streaming studio of the vhs Waldeck-Frankenberg. Almost 100 participants tuned in to the digital lectures and workshops.

Working in a home office, conference calls, home schooling, housework and possibly caring for a family member: Corona time creates an even heavier burden in everyday life - especially for women. Social isolation, insecurities, worries and much more are additional special and unfamiliar challenges.

In order to face these challenges in a strengthened way, an information day was organised, which was dedicated to these topics and questions as well as challenges online. The goal was to find a good way to deal with the special situation and to face it with strength. The organisers were pleased with the great response: "Once again, many women took part in this year's event," said Beate Friedrich, the district's women's representative, drawing a positive conclusion. "We hope that the event, which we have traditionally organised for many years, can take place again next year in person and in presence."
