Care support point from 1 September also in Frankenberg

Whether questions about long-term care insurance benefits, information about care options in old age or about powers of attorney and applications: For 11 years now, the care support centre of the Waldeck-Frankenberg district has been providing advice on a wide range of topics related to care. Until now, anyone who wanted to take advantage of the personal counselling service could visit the care support centre at the main railway station in the district town of Korbach. In order to shorten the journey for citizens from the southern part of the district and to make it easier for them to make use of the services, the district opened a branch of the care support centre in Frankenberg on 1 September.

In addition to the office hours in Korbach, the telephone counselling service or the offer of a home visit, anyone interested can get counselling on the topic of care every Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. from September onwards at the premises of the specialist health service in Bahnhofstraße 17-19. "The topics in the area of care and provision are usually very personal. Many people therefore prefer to receive advice on the premises of the care support point. In order to save citizens a longer journey in the future and thus make it easier for them to take advantage of the offer, we will also be offering a consultation hour in Frankenberg every Friday from September onwards. Depending on how demand develops there, we will offer additional days with consultation hours," said First District Commissioner and Head of the Health Department Karl-Friedrich Frese.

Pre-registration for the consultation is not required, but is recommended due to the demand. The counselling services on demand in Bad Wildungen and Battenberg are to be replaced in future by the new service in Frankenberg and, if necessary, by home visits. The care support centre in Korbach can be reached by telephone on 05631 954-881 from Monday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Fridays from 9 a.m. to noon.
