First district council meeting 2024 on 1 March

The first meeting of the district council of the Waldeck-Frankenberg district in 2024 will take place on Friday, 1 March, from 2 p.m. in the district building in Korbach. District council chairman Rainer Hesse cordially invites all interested parties to attend the public meeting. Registration is not required. Information on the current agenda for the district council meeting is also available online at www.landkreis-waldeck-frankenberg.de.

An important part of the 15-item agenda is the discussion and resolution on the budget statutes and the budget for the 2024 financial year, the investment programme and the profit and financial planning for the years 2023 - 2027 as well as the budget protection concept for 2024 - 2027. The committee thus creates the basis for further administrative action in the current year.

However, the other topics also promise an interesting session of the district council. For example, a major question deals with the status of the everyday cycling concept, while another item is to revise the "Directive on the promotion of cycling infrastructure". Motions from various parliamentary groups in the district council deal with the expansion of the care support centre, the introduction of a "payment card" for asylum seekers and tolerated persons and enabling fully automated mini supermarkets. The 2022 energy balance sheet is also presented and discussed and the final report on the implementation of a new slaughterhouse in the district is given.

The 71 members of the district council also receive information on the status of the HR strategy - setting up HR controlling for the district - and a report on budget implementation for the fourth quarter of 2023 based on financial accounting.

They may elect a deputy patient advocate for Gesundheit Nordhessen Krankenhaus Bad Arolsen GmbH and finally vote on the 2nd amendment to the statutes on the levying of fees for the accommodation of persons in accordance with the State Reception Act in the district of Waldeck-Frankenberg.
