ESD and STEM offerings in Waldeck-Frankenberg

The district of Waldeck-Frankenberg would like to do more to promote education for sustainable development (ESD) and STEM in the schools of the district of Waldeck-Frankenberg and, especially against the background of the unique selling points in the district (national park, geopark, nature parks), sees a connection between ESD and STEM as an innovative and practical approach to two important subject areas of our education system.

In order to get a better overview of the wide range of offers and subject areas as well as the interests and uses on the part of the schools and to act in a targeted manner, the Schools and Education Department has created and evaluated a survey. On the basis of this data, further offers from the district are to be developed in the future, tailored to the wishes of the schools.

The schools' activities in the ESD and STEM fields are also shown on a digital map. The digital map was created in cooperation with the district's information technology and digital administration service and is updated regularly.
