CITY CYCLING 2022

From 13 June to 3 July 2022, the district of Waldeck-Frankenberg, together with 13 towns and municipalities, took part for the first time in the international STADTRADELN campaign of the Climate Alliance. Its goal is to promote cycling, climate protection and quality of life in the municipalities - and ultimately to make cycling more fun.For 21 days, everyone was called upon to cycle as much as possible. Every kilometre is entered into the competition, which runs in Germany until 30 September.

In Waldeck-Frankenberg, the results at the district level have already been determined:

  • 2,034 Cyclists
  • 81/430 Parliamentarian
  • 157 teams
  • 430,553 kilometres
  • 66 t CO2 avoidance
