Digital Hessian Self-Help Days: Self-Help Contact Point takes part

"Let go of stress - recharging energy reserves and healthy stress management with the help of movement" is the title of a free online workshop of the self-help contact point of the Waldeck-Frankenberg district. On 21 September 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., the workshop will focus on how being active with exercise can help us cope better with the hectic and stressful nature of our fast-paced times. All interested parties are cordially invited to attend.

The workshop is part of the Digital Hessian Self-Help Days, which offer a wide range of workshops, lectures, talks and films from 20 September to 1 October. Therefore, registration for the event "Stress lass nach" is only possible via the website www.selbsthilfe-in-hessen.de. From now on, interested people can also register there for all other events of other Hessian contact points and receive further information about group-related self-help and the work of the Hessian self-help contact points.

On 21 September, the focus will be on stress as a phenomenon that has become increasingly present and a constant companion in today's society. Many people feel helplessly at the mercy of the feeling of being stressed. However, relaxation is necessary to recharge energy reserves and to cope with the challenges of everyday life in a healthy way in the long term. So how can we learn to deal with stress in a healthy way? And how can exercise help? These and other topics are on the agenda of the online event.

Speaker Manuela Brehmen is a health scientist (M. Sc.), certified coach and trainer for healthy stress management. With a mixture of theoretical input and a few simple practical exercises from yoga, she will introduce the participants to a good way of dealing with stressful everyday life. In addition, the staff of the self-help contact point of the Waldeck-Frankenberg district, Ms. Heike Eschler and Ms. Kristin Schmidt-Momberg, will report on their project "Self-help gets moving", accompanied by the contact point's therapy dog during the exercise sessions. They show the advantages of physical exercise for self-help work and give an outlook on the possibilities of animal-assisted interventions.
