District administrator election: Jürgen van der Horst ahead of Dr Reinhard Kubat

After a long and exciting election evening in the Korbach district hall, the provisional final result of this year's district council election in Waldeck-Frankenberg has been determined: According to this, Jürgen van der Horst will be the new district administrator in the district.

After counting the votes in the 276 constituencies of the 22 towns and municipalities in the district, 51.12 percent went to Jürgen van der Horst and 48.88 percent to Dr Reinhard Kubat. With this close result, the candidates are separated by a few percentage points. After the neck-and-neck race, the provisional result of the district council election was not known until late Sunday evening, after the last counts of the election workers had been received at the district office.
