Fun, games and exchange at the mobile early prevention action day

As part of the federal model project "Early Help is Here!", a mobile action day of the district of Waldeck-Frankenberg on the topic of early help recently took place in Willingen at the Protestant day care centre. Parents and professionals took advantage of the well-attended day to exchange information about the services offered by the district for families with newborns and small children.

The aim was also to provide information about the support options, especially in rural regions, and thus to reach those families for whom this help can be a good support. Many parents were also very interested in the information provided by the day care centre about its conceptual work, which was explained in a tour of the day care centre. The children had also rehearsed a Zumba performance for the event. In addition to Karl-Friedrich Frese, First District Commissioner, and the staff of the Youth Department of the district, two employees of the Sinus agency from Cologne, who are in charge of the federal model project, were also present.

Waffle taxi supports day care centre work
The waffle taxi - a day care centre campaign sponsored by 15 local restaurateurs - was also well received: Waffles could be ordered here and then delivered fresh to the customers' homes by e-bike. For every kilometre ridden, the restaurateurs sponsored one euro for the work of the Protestant day-care centre, which can look forward to a total of 2,655 euros in support after the campaign.

The period for the federal model project "Frühe Hilfen sind da!" runs from August to November next year. In the district of Waldeck-Frankenberg, the activities are carried out on a total of five days, each in combination with local events. This year, the campaigns started in Volkmarsen in September and recently in Willingen. Next year, the Mobile Early Intervention Services will continue in Allendorf (Eder)-Battenfeld, Gemünden (Wohra) and Waldeck.
