Digitaltag on 16 June: Many offers from Waldeck-Frankenberg

Shaping the future and digitisation together: Under this motto, the Waldeck-Frankenberg district and many partner organisations are once again taking part in the nationwide Digital Day on 16 June - for the third time. Interested parties can take part in the numerous digital offerings from the comfort of their own homes and also attend some events. The programme will be supplemented by a feedback session for citizens in the new Korbach administration building at Südring 3. The district cordially invites you. "We want to focus even more on the wishes and needs of the citizens in order to improve our service - online and offline - even further," says District Administrator Jürgen van der Horst. "Only if we know what these are can we align the services offered by the district administration even better. That's why we welcome the feedback that interested parties can give as part of the survey in the district hall and new building." The survey is being conducted by junior staff of the district administration, the digital detectives, accompanied by process manager Oliver Merhof and digitalisation project manager Nastasia Sluzalek. Citizens are to be the focus here. Thus, the topic of customer centricity will also be an important point of exchange at the upcoming meeting of the digitalisation officers of the cities and municipalities and the district in the district administration building.

However, the aim of the Digital Day is above all to promote digital participation. Together with the Kassel-Marburg Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the Waldeck-Frankenberg District Chamber of Crafts, the Waldeck-Frankenberg District Adult Education Centre, the District's Network for Tolerance, the Bad Wildungen Municipality, the Bad Wildungen Youth and Cultural Centre and the Waldeck-Frankenberg Economic Development Agency, the district has therefore put together a varied programme.

For pupils, the IHK Kassel Marburg offers digital support in the search for apprenticeships with an easy-to-use online tool from 10 to 11 am and from 1 to 2 pm. The Kreisvolkshochschule Waldeck-Frankenberg offers an insight into the course "GLS Vereinsmeister - communication and digital archive" for associations, volunteers and SMEs from 5 to 6 pm. What do I do about hate comments and agitation on the net? This question is addressed by the Network for Tolerance Waldeck-Frankenberg with the Institute for Media Education & Communication Hesse together with a school class. The town of Bad Wildungen is offering a full-day opportunity to participate in the digitisation of the town administration. Mayor Ralf Gutheil will answer questions in a video on Digital Day. For this purpose, interested people have the opportunity to submit questions in advance from 10 to 14 June. For children, school classes and families, the Bad Wildungen Youth and Culture Centre will offer an all-day combination of nature experience and digitalisation, "Actionbound 'Helental Experience Hike'". Companies can analyse the degree of digitalisation of their business at the DIGI Check by Technologieland Hessen together with the Waldeck-Frankenberg Economic Development Agency from 11 to 11.45 am. A live event in the vocational training centre entitled 'The arrival of digitalisation in the skilled trades' is also being offered by the Waldeck-Frankenberg district skilled trades association from 9 am to 7 pm. Whether camera drones, CNC milling machines, laser cutters or 3D printers: various applications on the topic of digitalisation in the skilled trades will be shown in the workshops.

Everyone can learn from everyone
By participating in the nationwide campaign, the district wants to contribute to ensuring that everyone can move confidently and self-determinedly in the digital space. "Digitalisation now also plays a role in many areas of our daily lives," says the district administrator. "Everyone can learn from everyone here." The goal is to accompany the people in the district on the path of digitalisation. "This is important because digitalisation is advancing all the time and offers great opportunities" adds the district's digitalisation project manager Nastasia Sluzalek. "As part of the Digitaltag, we would like to highlight these, but also address challenges and engage in an exchange with the people of Waldeck-Frankenberg on this topic."
