Information event: Self-employed as a professional carer

The Waldeck-Frankenberg district health service is looking for independent professional carers to support people who are unable to manage their own affairs due to various impairments. The specialist health service will provide information on what exactly this role entails and what requirements must be met at an information event on 19 March from 5.30 pm to 6.30 pm in the Altwildungen community centre.

Whether it's dealing with correspondence, dealing with the authorities or managing and organising finances: Sometimes people with a mental illness or due to a mental or physical impairment need support in carrying out their everyday tasks. This is where independent professional carers come in. They are appointed by the court and help the person concerned to cope with their everyday life. The professional carer can organise their working hours as they wish and therefore carry out their work alongside another job and in harmony with family life. This is because the carer also determines the scope of their work. At the same time, the court remunerates the carer for their work.

The specialist health service will be providing information on the basic requirements for becoming a professional carer at its information event on 19 March in Bad Wildungen. All interested parties are cordially invited to a non-binding discussion at the Bürgerhaus Altwildungen (Grüner Weg 7). Registration is not required and the event is free of charge.
