To support school administrators and teachers, the State Education Authority offers the following events on digitalisation and media education:


Online consultation hours of the media advisors

In the consultation hours offered via video, topics and questions about media education can be discussed with a media consultant from the State Education Authority. Topics can include media education concepts and curricula, planning and implementation of educational days on the topic of digitisation, working with teacher terminals and the Hesse school portal. The offer is aimed at school administrators and teachers.


Dates:

  • Mondays, 4.30 to 5.30 p.m. (in even calendar weeks)
  • Thursdays, 10 to 11 a.m. (in odd-numbered calendar weeks)

iPad training for teachers

The offer, which is aimed at colleges, teachers, head teachers, IT representatives or steering groups of primary schools in Waldeck-Frankenberg, is intended to support the profitable use of iPads, which are supplied as teachers' terminals, in lessons in primary schools. An individual focus of the schools, which, in addition to the previous knowledge of the teaching staff, also takes into account the equipment on site, can be agreed with the speakers in advance. About two hours should be planned for the training.

Possible topics could be:

  • Service iPads - Setup and first steps
  • Structuring and organising everyday school and classroom life with the iPad
  • Possible uses and limitations of iPads in the classroom
