Sports medical examinations
Sports medical examinations
In the district of Waldeck-Frankenberg, sports medical examinations for club athletes are carried out by sports physicians commissioned to do so with subsidies from the state of Hesse, the district and a contribution from the athletes themselves.
Club athletes
Club athletes who wish to claim the district subsidy for a sports medical examination must fulfil the following requirements:
- You must be a member of a club of the Landessportbund.
- The registered office of the association and/or the place of residence must be in Waldeck-Frankenberg.
You can make an appointment for this with one of the following sports physicians:
- Dr. med. Erich Emde, Steinmetzstr. 9, 34454 Bad Arolsen, Tel.: 05691/2059
- Dr. Dirk Bender, Neuer Weg 7, 34508 Willingen, Tel.: 05632/69999
The subsidy is settled by the sports physicians directly with the district, the own contribution is to be paid to the doctor at or after the examination.
Squad athletes
Athletes in the Hessian LK (former D squad) and NK 2 (former D/C squad) must undergo a basic sports medicine examination once a year. Hessian TSP squad junior athletes (formerly: E squad) also have the opportunity to be examined free of charge. A list of licensed examination centres is available from the Hessen State Sports Association.
