"No Life Without Nature" – Exhibition in the district’s new administrative building
The exhibition “No Life Without Nature: Pupils Paint Biodiversity”, organised by the Aktionsgemeinschaft Agrarwende Nordhessen e. V., is currently on display in the foyer of the district’s new administrative building at Südring 3. The exhibition will remain on display at the “new” district administration building in Korbach until 5 August. “No Life Without Nature” showcases artwork by children and young people of various ages and from different types of schools across North Hesse. Two schools from Waldeck-Frankenberg – the Kaulbachschule in Bad Arolsen and the Regenbogenschule in Frankenberg (Eder) – also contributed to the artworks exploring various aspects of the theme of ‘biodiversity’.
On each of the six topics covered (water, soil, air, moors, insects and pesticides), the children and young people have put their very own thoughts down on paper. The pictures clearly show that they are aware not only of the beauty and the vital elements of our natural world, but also of the problems caused by intensive human use.
The exhibition can be viewed during the district administration’s opening hours: Monday to Thursday from 8 am to 4 pm and Friday from 8 am to 1 pm. It is located in the foyer of the ‘new’ district administration building, Südring 3, Korbach. Anyone wishing to explore the topic further at home at their leisure can do so using two information leaflets available to take away free of charge. One is aimed at primary school children, whilst the other is aimed at teenagers and adults.
