Second part of the book series on the GrenzWelten National Geopark published

Almost exactly a year ago, the book series about the GrenzWelten National Geopark was launched with the publication of the series "Wanderungen in die Erdgeschichte" (Hikes into the Earth's History). Author Thomas Pawellek presented the eastern part of the Geopark in a way that was both expert and understandable for geological laymen. On 320 pages, interested readers can find out about the geology, landscape and cultural history of the region as well as numerous exciting tours in the eastern part of the GrenzWelten.

The book series is now being continued: "Der Geopark GrenzWelten, Westlicher Teil" has been published by Pfeil Verlag as volume 49 of the popular "Wanderungen in die Erdgschichte" series, once again written by Thomas Pawellek. Whether Bruchhauser Steine, Marsberger Geopfad and much more, the western part of the Geopark also offers many geological delicacies.

As a recognised expert in regional geology, Pawellek once again makes it clear how closely natural history and today's landscape are linked in the GrenzWelten. The author reveals an exciting geological past, traces of which are still visible in the landscape today. A third volume is planned for 2027, which will complete the series with the southern area of the Geopark.

The book about the western part is available from bookshops for 35 euros. There will be a presentation of the book with the author in Marsberg on 18 June at 6 p.m. in the Festsaal of the LWL-Klinik, Weist 45. Registration for the free event is not necessary, all interested parties are cordially invited. The large LWL car park on Mühlenstraße can be used on the day of the event. Further information on the publication and the National Geopark is available from the project office.
