Vehicle registration number: unstamped

Journeys related to registration may be made with unstamped registration plates in the registration district shown on the registration plate and in the adjoining district if

• the registration authority has allocated or reserved the registration plate in advance, and
• the journeys are covered by the motor vehicle liability insurance.

The same applies to the return journey after a vehicle has been taken out of service and the number plates have been unstamped.

The number plates must be attached to the vehicle. The number of the electronic insurance confirmation (eVB) must be carried.
