If you decide to set up and operate a heating oil system,
a notification to the water authority is required. The following must be notified:- the construction of underground facilities (regardless of the storage quantity),
- the construction of above-ground installations with more than 1 000 litres of heating oil ("above-ground" also includes storage in the cellar of a building) and
- any significant changes and the decommissioning of the installation

What else should I know?
The notification of the heating oil installation must be made in writing.
Who do I need to contact?
The lower water authorities, which are located at the district committee and the magistrate of the independent cities, are responsible.
