Child and youth protection

Educational child and youth protection is a general preventative counselling and educational service for children, young people and parents that

• should enable young people to protect themselves from harmful influences and lead them to develop critical faculties, decision-making skills, personal responsibility and responsibility towards other people,
• to better enable parents and other guardians to protect children and young people from harmful influences.

Educational child and youth protection is provided, for example, via:

• Projects to empower children and parents,
• in the context of family education,
• in the context of youth work or
• through general awareness campaigns.
