Legal basis
Who do I need to contact?
As a rule, the lower monument protection authority is responsible for the preservation of monuments and thus the contact for applications for changes or other measures to cultural monuments. It can be found at the administration of your district or your city, if it has its own building administration.
The responsibilities in the area of monument protection are divided by municipality at the Building Department. You can find out who your correct contact person is from the table below:
