Child day care serves the upbringing, education and care of the child by a child minder or a child minder and is mostly an offer of public youth welfare, i.e. the youth welfare offices of the districts and cities. The care usually takes place in the childminder's household, but can also take place in the child's parents' household or in other suitable rooms.
