Treatment in hospitals and rehabilitation facilities for persons insured under statutory accident insurance Providing

  • Performance specification

The statutory accident insurance pays both hospital costs and the costs of rehabilitation facilities.

The hospital or rehabilitation centre will settle the costs of your treatment directly with your relevant employers' liability insurance association or accident insurance fund. This applies to both outpatient and inpatient treatment.

Employer's liability insurance associations and accident insurance funds will pay for your inpatient treatment if it is medically necessary. Your treatment can be full or partial inpatient treatment. It includes all services that are necessary for medical care in your case. This may include the following in particular:

    • Treatment,
    • Nursing,
    • Supply of medicines, bandages, remedies and aids as well as
    • Accommodation and meals.

You may suffer damage to your health which, due to its nature or severity, requires special accident medical inpatient treatment. In such cases, you will be treated in specialised facilities.
Unlike with statutory health insurance, you do not have to pay a co-payment for your treatment.
