Ehrenamts-Card Hessen (E-Card)
Performance specification
Civic engagement is of central importance for the cohesion of our society. Without the participation of its citizens, the state would not be able to solve the social challenges of the present and the future.
Many people in Hesse are involved in voluntary work, and the opportunities and fields of activity are as varied as the interests and abilities of the people: whether in sport, in the youth or senior citizens' sector, in the fire brigade, in voluntary social services, in the parish, in choirs or art associations, in environmental or animal protection initiatives: voluntary and charitable work by like-minded people is as important as it is irreplaceable for our common good.
This deserves to be recognised!
That is why the Hessian state government, together with the administrative districts as well as the independent and special-status cities, has introduced the Volunteer Card as a sign of thanks and appreciation to all those who are committed to society in a special way.
Holders of the Volunteer Card can take advantage of a wide range of attractive discounts throughout Hesse. These include top-class sporting and cultural events as well as cinemas, museums, adult education courses, swimming pools and other leisure facilities. In addition to permanent discounts, attractive special promotions, competitions and free tickets are also offered from time to time.Requirements
