People under 65 in need of care in a retirement or nursing home
Performance specification
"Round-the-clock" care for people who are in need of care and constantly require comprehensive nursing care and support and, if necessary, supervision, which cannot be guaranteed in a flat even with professional support.
Note:
For persons who have reached the age of 65, the local social welfare office is responsible.Which documents are required?
A fully completed social assistance application must be submitted. After receipt of the application, further individually required documents will be requested.
What deadlines do I have to observe?
The benefit can be approved at the earliest when the LWV Hessen or a social welfare office becomes aware of the need.

Assistance for care according to §§ 61- 66 SGB XII
What else should I know?
For people under 60 years of age, suitable alternatives are available in residential care homes, residential homes for people with substantial disabilities, if care in the home with professional support should not be possible.
Benefits from long-term care insurance are to be claimed as a priority.
